BEIJING, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China:

IP TRAINING

China's top intellectual property (IP) regulator hosted a new training program for agricultural scientists, aiming to educate them on how to protect their innovative research achievements through patents.

Apart from IP professionals, the program also invited entrepreneurs, judges, lawyers and university professors to share their expertise in IP creation, protection and transfers.

CARBON NEUTRALITY

Southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region has achieved overall carbon neutrality, said regional government, during a forum opened Sunday on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau ecosystem.

The annual carbon sink of Tibet's ecosystem in recent years reached around 47.6 million tonnes of carbon dioxide, with its annual carbon emission totaling about 11.5 million tonnes, indicating that the region has actually been in a state of carbon neutrality, according to the experts attending the forum.

ROCKET LAUNCH

China on Sunday successfully launched a new remote sensing satellite from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi Province.

A modified version of the Long March-6 carrier rocket carrying the satellite Yaogan-40 lifted off at 12:30 p.m. (Beijing Time). Enditem
