Indonesia's FDI up 13.7 pct in 2023

JAKARTA, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Foreign direct investment (FDI) implementation in Indonesia in 2023 totaled about 744 trillion rupiah (some 47 billion U.S. dollars), 13.7 percent higher than the previous year, the country's Investment Ministry said on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, most of the investment last year parked in the industries of metal, transportation, warehousing, chemical, pharmacy, telecommunication, mining and pulp and paper.

It also said that the largest foreign investor for Indonesia in 2023 was Singapore with 15.4 billion U.S. dollars. Enditem
