JINAN, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Qingdao Hainiu was defeated by Changchun Yatai 1-0 on the home field, while the other Qingdao side, Qingdao West Coast, lost to Shanghai Shenhua 2-0 in the Chinese Super League on Friday.

Qingdao Hainiu made more shooting attempts than their opponents, but failed to score once in the whole game. In the 61st minute, Brazilian midfielder Guilherme shot from a tiny angle in front of the gate, helping the away team lead the game 1-0.

In the last minutes of the game, Qingdao came out with all guns blazing, but Martin Boakye missed several good chances and Changchun sealed the final victory. The home team did not score any goals in the first two rounds of the season.

Elsewhere, Shanghai Shenhua showed no mercy for the newly-promoted team from Qingdao. Shanghai kept creating chances in the first half and took the lead in the 22nd minute. Cephas Malele got injured after he broke the deadlock. He hit the ball into the gate when receiving Andre Luis' head pass.

In the 37th minute, Wu Xi made an accurate assist, helping Andre Luis score inside the penalty zone and doubled the lead.

Qingdao's player Alan hit the crossbar twice in the second half, and the score remained 2-0 until the end of the game. Shanghai Shenhua marched to the top of the table temporarily with the result. Enditem
