SHANGHAI, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Dutch striker Tyrone Conraad demonstrated his qualities by scoring two goals to help Meizhou Hakka draw with Henan FC 2-2 in the Chinese Super League on Saturday.
Bruno Nazario's header made an early breakthrough for Henan in the sixth minute, assisted by Liu Bin's precise cross. However, after Liu left the field due to injury, Meizhou leveraged the weakness of Henan's defense to tie the score thanks to Conraad's scoring right in front of the goal.
In the second half, Xu Jiamin's mistake during the attack gifted Conraad an easy second goal. Four minutes later, Djordje Deni smashed in a volley to spare Henan's blushes.
Elsewhere, Wuhan Three Towns defeated Nantong Zhiyun 3-1. Wuhan broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute thanks to Pedro Henrique's penalty kick following a foul by the Nantong goalkeeper. In the 49th minute, Henrique contributed his second goal with a header after getting on the end of Darlan Mendes' pass. Apart from the critical assist, Mendes' volley outside the box widened the gap to 3-0 for Wuhan in the 60th minute.
Before the final whistle, Izuchukwu Anthony headed in a consolation goal for Nantong.
Also on Saturday, both games between Beijing Guoan and Shandong Taishan, Shanghai Port and Zhejiang FC ended with goalless draws. Enditem
