BEIJING, April 17 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.

SHENZHOU-18

The combination of the Shenzhou-18 crewed spaceship and a Long March-2F carrier rocket has been transferred to the launching area, the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) said on Wednesday.

According to the CMSA, the facilities and equipment at the launch site in Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China are in good condition, and various pre-launch function checks and joint tests will be carried out as planned.

ZGC FORUM

China's upcoming 2024 Zhongguancun Forum (ZGC Forum) will focus on cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), life sciences and new materials, and unveil a series of major scientific and technological achievements of the country, an official with the Ministry of Science and Technology said Wednesday.

During this year's ZGC Forum, scheduled in Beijing from April 25 to 29, China's opening-up and cooperation efforts will be highlighted by inviting international sci-tech organizations, scientists, innovative enterprises and investors.

SPACE FORUM

China will hold the first space cooperation forum with Latin American and the Caribbean countries during the upcoming Space Day of China, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) announced Wednesday.

The China-Latin America and the Caribbean Space Cooperation Forum, co-hosted by the CNSA, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hubei provincial government, will be held in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, from April 24 to 26, said Lyu Bo, deputy director of the Department of System Engineering of the CNSA, at a press conference in Beijing.
