BEIJING, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Henan FC attacking midfielder Huang Zichang faces the possibility of sitting out Friday's Chinese Super League tie against Cangzhou Mighty Lions after he picked up a leg injury at the last game.

The 27-year-old player was stretchered off at the 60th minute of Henan' s 1-0 win over Qingdao Hainiu at home on Sunday.

"Huang Zichang's performance at the game was highly recognizable, and he played a crucial role in the team's attack," the Henan club wrote in a statement on Tuesday night.

"In the second half he was taken off after suffering discomfort on his posterior thigh muscle," the club said.

It remains undecided whether Huang will play on Friday when Henan FC visits Cangzhou after he was diagnosed with hamstring fasciitis, according to the Henan outfit.

As the linchpin of the Henan side, Huang has been battling with injuries since the pre-season training, the Henan club said. Enditem
