BEIJING, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Yuning, the leading scorer for Beijing Guoan, is likely to miss Tuesday's Chinese Super League match against Tianjin Jinmen Tigers due to an injury.

The Beijing team's coach, Ricardo Soares, disclosed this setback during the pre-match press conference held on Monday.

"As I said before, injury is something unavoidable for the players considering the packed schedule," he said.

"Zhang Yuning is suffering from an injury now, which makes it hard for him to play this game," he said.

"Some other players need assessment before the game to make sure if they are fit to play," added the Portuguese, who did not specify Zhang's injury.

Zhang was instrumental in Beijing Guoan's recent 2-1 victory over Zhejiang FC, scoring the opening goal before being substituted in the 74th minute. Despite the injury challenges, Beijing Guoan is currently in fourth place in the Chinese top-flight standings, three spots above the Tianjin team. Enditem
