Crime thriller "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In" tops Chinese box office

BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong action crime thriller "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In" topped the Chinese mainland's daily box office chart on Monday, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed.

The film, directed by celebrated Hong Kong director Pou-Soi Cheang and starring Louis Koo and Sammo Hung, grossed about 10.09 million yuan (about 1.42 million U.S. dollars) on the 13th day of screening.

It was followed by the Chinese comedy "The Last Frenzy," which raked in over 9.84 million yuan on the day.

American sci-fi "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" came in third with more than 8.37 million yuan of daily box office sales.

The Chinese mainland's box office revenue totaled 36.74 million yuan on Monday. Enditem
