CHENGDU, May 18 (Xinhua) -- A book collecting works by 56 Chinese science fiction writers was released Saturday at the 15th Chinese Nebula Awards, which is believed to enrich the literary genre with its unique writing.

"The Mountain, the Pine, and the Moon: 56 Chinese Science Fiction Writers' Fantasies of Their Hometowns" consists of three volumes featuring mountain, pine and moon. Writers including Liu Cixin and Han Song adopted the dual narrative of fiction and non-fiction, narrating a virtual nostalgia between history and imagination.

Shi Yi, one of the book editors, said the idea of publishing comes from a wish for a Chinese-style science fiction. With a civilization rooted in agriculture, China possesses a strong sense of home, which poses a significant departure from Western science fiction, he said. Enditem
