BEIJING, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Beijing Guoan defeated Nantong Zhiyun 5-2, while Chengdu Rongcheng trounced Qingdao West Coast 7-0 in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.

Fabio Abreu and He Yupeng opened the scoring early for Beijing with two headers in eight minutes, while Nantong's Zheng Haoqian pulled one back in the 23rd minute.

In the second half, Cao Yongjing made it 3-1 for Beijing, but David Puclin of Nantong scored a long-range shot 10 minutes later. Abreu and Fang Hao scored in the closing minutes en route to secure a comfortable win for Beijing.

"We had a great start today but didn't stay focused all the time. Our team needs to create more opportunities offensively and maintain the momentum," Beijing head coach Ricardo Soares said after the game.

Also on Sunday, Chengdu's Wei Shihao, Felipe Silva and Elkeson netted two goals each, while Mirahmetjan Muzepper added another for their emphatic win.

Elsewhere, Shanghai Shenhua edged Shenzhen Peng City 1-0, Shanghai Port eased past Cangzhou Mighty Lions 4-1, Qingdao Hainiu clinched a 3-1 win over Tianjin Jinmen Tiger, and Changchun Yatai and Henan FC played out a goalless draw. Enditem
