BEIJING, March 18 (Xinhua) -- China's sports authority has started the selection process for the new head coach of the Chinese women's national volleyball team.

According to an announcement released on Tuesday, the new head coach should possess a clear coaching style, outstanding management ability, and profound coaching experience to lead the team in major tournaments such as the World Championship, Asian Games, Olympic Games, and others during the 2025-2028 cycle.

Candidates are required to submit their applications before next Tuesday.

At the Paris Olympic Games, China's women's volleyball team reached the quarterfinals under coach Cai Bin. Cai began his tenure in February 2022, guiding the team to the final of the 2023 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League and securing gold at the Hangzhou Asian Games. Enditem
