More than 100 villagers blocked entrance to a famous scenic spot in southwest China's Guizhou Province Tuesday in protest over unfair treatment in job hunting.
The villagers and another 4,000 who gathered to watch in the Huangguoshu Waterfall scenic spot had dispersed by 9 p.m. after government explanation, Chen Jian, secretary of the Anshun Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, told Xinhua.
Villagers blocked entrance to the office building of the scenic spot's administration commission Monday.
Local residents complained about unfair treatment in seeking jobs at a hotel at the scenic spot, a source told Xinhua, declining to give his name.
