A baby born in Yantai City, Shandong Province, on April 18, has received much attention for its high birth weight - 5 kilograms - and two little teeth at birth, according to provincial broadcasting and a local TV station.
Curious expectant mothers from nearby delivery rooms came to see the super baby.
During pregnancy, the baby's mother became a big eater and took some calcium tablets, but she never expected her baby to have such a high birth weight and teeth.
Babies generally begin to grow new teeth at around six months old, and one out of every 1,100 newborns is born with teeth. However, this does not appear to influence the baby's health, said a doctor.
Actually the baby's high birth weight requires attention, for the mother is more likely to have a difficult birth, the doctor said.
