Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) reported two local COVID-19 cases on Sunday, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 1,084.

The new cases involved a 34-year-old female and her 56-year-old husband, who did not have travel history recently. The woman worked in a warehouse in Kwai Chung in the New Territories, labeling packaged food imported from Britain.

Two other employees from the warehouse tested weakly positive for the virus. The CHP said there may be a transmission chain in the workplace of the female patient and it is tracing the source of the infectious disease.

According to Hong Kong's Hospital Authority, there are 44 COVID-19 patients currently in hospital in Hong Kong, with two in critical condition. A total of 1,037 confirmed and suspected patients have been discharged so far.
