Shanghai reports 3 new imported COVID-19 cases

​Shanghai reported three new imported COVID-19 cases and no increase in domestically transmitted cases on Monday.

Shanghai reported three new imported COVID-19 cases and no increase in domestically transmitted cases on Monday, the municipal health commission said Tuesday.

One of the imported cases was a Chinese national who departed from the United Kingdom on July 10 and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on July 11. The person showed symptoms during the isolated observation period and was confirmed as a COVID-19 patient.

The other two confirmed cases, also Chinese nationals, left the United States on July 5 and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport via Japan on July 7.

All the 70 close contacts with the three on the flights have been put under quarantine.

As of Monday, Shanghai has reported 386 confirmed imported cases and 342 locally transmitted cases.
