As of Wednesday morning, 301,455 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Britain with a daily increase of 763, according to figures updated by the British Department of Health and Social Care.

The figures for coronavirus-related deaths remain unavailable on the official website as Health Secretary Matt Hancock has ordered a review into the Public Health England's (PHE) data.

Britain has taken more precautionary measures to prevent a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

People returning to Britain from Spain (including islands) from midnight July 25 will need to self-isolate for two weeks, with the country removed from the travel corridors list, the British government has announced.

Meanwhile, the British government is expected to put more countries on its quarantine list "straight away" if coronavirus runs "out of control" in them, Sky News reported.

An increase of COVID-19 cases in Belgium, Luxembourg and Croatia are prompting concerns in the British government, according to the report.
