Chinese health authority said on Saturday that it received reports of 31 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland on Friday, including 25 locally transmitted.
All of the 25 locally transmitted cases were reported in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.
Five new suspected COVID-19 cases, all imported, were reported in Shanghai, and no deaths related to the disease were reported on Friday, the commission said.
