Chinese mainland reports 7 new imported COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland reported seven new imported COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of imported cases to 4,928.

The Chinese mainland reported seven new imported COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of imported cases to 4,928.

Of the new imported cases, three were reported in Shanghai, two in Sichuan, and one each in Liaoning and Guangdong, the National Health Commission said in its daily report Sunday.

Of the imported cases, 4,735 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 193 remained hospitalized, the commission said.

There were also three suspected cases from outside the mainland by Saturday.

No deaths had been reported among the imported cases.
