This dough figurine is made by craftsman Liu Jie from Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province. It is from a Chinese story in which Wang Qiang, a beautiful woman from the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-25 AD), went to the frontier area to marry the chieftain of a northern tribe.
