2017年7月31日，河南洛阳，建军节前夕，从四面八方汇聚而来的180余名年逾六旬的中国海军某部退伍军人抵达老君山，他们展开登山急行军拉练，攀登海拔2000余米的伏牛山主峰马鬃岭，在最高峰举行升旗仪式，向军旗致敬，向军旗郑重宣誓“若有战，召必回”。他们还集资做起了“大锅饭”，同吃团圆饭，追忆峥嵘岁月，饭前仍坚持进行拉歌赛，他们表示虽然退伍了，但军人的骨气永在，艰苦朴素的精神永在，军人的气魄永在，时刻准备着再次为祖国戍边守疆。
