Gude Temple: Fusion style Buddhist architecture in China
编者按：坐落于湖北武汉老汉口的古德寺是一座建筑风格另类的佛教寺院。其主体建筑圆通宝殿的建筑风格起源于印度的阿难陀寺，但又不是照搬照抄。它除了神似阿难陀寺，更多地创造了自身的特色，吸纳了印度、缅甸及西方文化，实现了单体殿堂的建筑风格多元化。殿顶共有高低错落的9座佛塔，为西式攒尖亭，远远望去，寺院仿佛一座哥特式教堂。
Editor's note: Located in Hankou district in central Wuhan city, Hubei province, the unique Gude Temple boasts a fusion architectural style combining Myanmar, Indian and Western elements. The temple was constructed in 1877, with its central Yuantong Hall built following the style of Alantuo Temple in Myanmar.
