6月7日,中国科学院南京地质古生物研究所研究员陈哲展示地球已知最古老动物足迹化石。当日,中国科学院南京地质古生物研究所发布消息称,该所和美国弗吉尼亚理工大学组成的早期生命研究团队在中国三峡埃迪卡拉纪地层发现了具有附肢的后生动物形成的足迹,证实为地球上已知最古老的足迹化石。据悉,美国《科学》(Science)杂志子刊《科学进展》(Science Advances)在线报道了这一科研成果。[中新社 泱波 摄]
