8月12日，西双版纳傣族自治州野象谷景区的“象爸爸”为救助象“羊妞”庆祝4周岁生日。当日是世界大象日。云南省西双版纳傣族自治州野象谷景区举行关爱亚洲象公益活动。来自全国各地的志愿者齐聚野象谷景区，给大象喂食胡萝卜、菠萝、西瓜等，倡议关爱亚洲象，保护其生存环境。[新华社 杨宗友 摄]
