Beijing Shows Rich Cultural Contents to the World
Beijing is seeking to impress the visiting Olympic Bid Commission that it's an international metropolis.

The Jiefang Daily says on Monday, thousands of classical music fans attended a concert with works by Chopin and Bach.

The paper says nowadays such concerts are an everyday event.

And for enthusiasts of traditional culture, there's lots of Peking Opera and classical Chinese music.

In recent years, the government has invested over 2 billion yuan, or 300 million US dollar to build libraries, theaters and gymnasiums.

And five years from now the Beijing city government is planning to build two gigantic theme parks featuring Asian culture.
