Beijing Lose to Guangdong in OT

Former NBA player Mengke Bateer's game-high 37 points failed to prevent the Beijing Ducks from losing to the Guangdong Southern Tigers 108-103 in overtime.

Beijing led 95-91 with 25 seconds left on Bateer's shot clock, until Guangdong scored three quick points, tying it at 97 with Terrence Green's 3-pointer from straightaway.

Defending champion Guangdong brought the score to 106-103 after consecutive baskets by Wang Shipeng. With 30 seconds left, Wang converted two free throws to hand Guangdong their 26th league victory.

Wang Shipeng has led Guangdong with 30 points and five rebounds, while Du Feng scored 18 points and ten rebounds.

Zhang Yusong has scored 36 points for Beijing, who ended their six game winning streak.

In other games, Shanghai beat Shandong 88-84, Fujian trounced Liaoning 114-97, Jiangsu outplayed Henan 137-109, Bayi defeated Xinjiang 121-94, Zhejiang lost to Shaanxi 94-93 and Yunnan had a home win over Jilin 110-107.
