Air Fares to Float Up 15%
Adjust font size:
Southwest Airline of China and Sichuan Airline of China yesterday announced to Sichuan's medias that due to the up-going price of aviation fuel oil, the ticket price of domestic flight routes will float 15 percent up on the base of the present price from November 5.

One-way ticket price will raise no more than 150 yuan. Meanwhile, the ticket price of 23 national airlines will also increase 15 percent from this November 5.

Consequently, a co-floating mechanism between the ticket price of domestic flight routes and the price of aviation fuel oil will be also established.

The price of aviation fuel oil has successively increased eight times from last November 5 to this October. In order to relieve the airline's increasing transportation cost burden brought by the increase of fuel oil price, the State Development Planning Commission recently has issued the announcement that from November on, the ticket price of domestic flight routes of each airline can float within 20 percent.
