Seven youngsters died in a stadium collapse in Shaanxi Province while they were taking tae kwon do lessons Sunday night, according to local media Monday.

More than 20 children, all around 10 years of age, were training at a school in Dali County when one of the main indoor walls of the building collapsed. The wall reportedly caved in when an electrical pole fell on it.

Investigators said that the accident was likely to have been result of the dreadful weather with a thunderstorm and gale force winds blacking out 90 percent of the county.

The accident also left 10 injured. Rescue work continues.
