The Track Cycling World Cup wrapped up its last event in Sydney yesterday. Chinese cyclist Mu Di won gold in the women's keirin, pushing China to eighth place in the final standings. Holland, Russia and Germany topped the tables.

Representing China in the event were Mu Di and Gong Jinjie.

In the final, Mu rallied from behind to pass American Jennie Reed and Italian Elisa Frisoni on the final curve to win by a length while Gong only managed a seventh position finish.

Another gold came from 19-year-old Feng Yong, who clocked 1 minute and 3.016 seconds to win the men's 1K Time Trial. But he later failed to qualify for the men's team sprint final with compatriots Zhang Lei and Wang Qiming.

National Games champion Wang Li, 24, clocked 3 minutes and 45.524 seconds to finish second in the women's 3000-meter individual pursuit race.
