Waste Materials Import Stopped from 17 Companies
Adjust font size:

China has suspended or revoked the qualifications of 17 foreign companies from exporting waste material to China, according to an announcement from State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (SAQSIQ).

The move is to prevent overseas poisonous waste from flowing into China, said the announcement, noting that SAQSIQ has found out companies' registration information failed to consist with their actual businesses.

Companies whose qualifications were suspended include Japan China Recycling Sources Corporation from Japan, YUIN CO. LTD. from the Republic of Korea, and SKROTFRAG AB from Sweden.

SAQSIQ revoked the qualifications of another nine companies which have more serious problems, including General Recycling Services Europe NV (GRSE NV) from Belgium, JIN YU Trading GmbH Europe from Germany, FC Sweden, Asia Global Trade LTD. from Britain.

SAQSIQ said qualifications of 21 foreign companies have been revoked and another eight companies have been suspended to export waste materials to China since the beginning of this year.
