Morning Earthquake Hits Northeastern Taiwan
 
An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale shook eastern Taiwan at 8:07 a.m. Sunday, with no damage or injuries reported so far.

The epicenter was located about 18.9 kilometers northeast of Ilan City, at a depth of 109.2 kilometers. The quake could be felt in Taipei City, Nanao and the port of Suao with the maximum intensity measuring 3 on the Richter scale.
