CPPCC National Committee Session to Open March 3

The annual session of the CPPCC National Committee is scheduled to begin on March 3.

The decision was made at the 12th Standing Committee meeting of the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Monday.

The meeting, which was attended by Chairman Li Ruihuan, who is also a member of the Standing committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, was convened to prepare for the Fourth Session of the CPPCC National Committee.

The 12th meeting, scheduled to last for three days, will discuss and decide on a number of issues, including the agenda of the coming annual session, the work report of the standing committee, personnel matters, and a resolution on conducting a series of activities related to the 1911 Revolution which toppled China's last feudalist Qing dynasty and founded the Republic of China.
