CPPCC Session Receives 3,384 Proposals

The ongoing Fourth Session of the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference received 3,384 proposals from members of the nation's top advisory body as of Wednesday afternoon.

The proposals cover such areas as western China development, economic restructuring, industrialization of new technologies, agriculture, accession to WTO, reform of state owned enterprises, environmental protection, governing the country by law, reunification of the motherland, education, culture and sports, according to the CPPCC subcommittee for proposals.

The subcommittee will review the proposals before making final decisions on the ways of handling these proposals.

The proposals will be referred to departments concerned after the current session.
