China Starts Anti-dumping Probe into Imported Acetone
Adjust font size:

Trade officials yesterday started an anti-dumping investigation into acetone originating from Japan, South Korea and Singapore, as well as China's Taiwan, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

Acetone is a chemical used to make plastic, fibers, drugs, organic solvents and other chemicals.

Officials would also examine the damage to the country's own acetone industry, the ministry said without giving further details.

This investigation was expected to be completed in one year, but it could be extended for six more months under special circumstances, the ministry said.
