H.E. Mr. Sun Guoxiang, the newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Mr. Ahmet Necdet Sezer, President of the Republic of Turkey, on December 7, 2006. The president welcomed Ambassador Sun, expressed his pleasure about the development of friendly cooperation between China and Turkey, and believed that the Ambassador would enhance the cooperation between two countries in every field including politics, economy and culture.

 

During the meeting, Ambassador Sun praised Turkey for its success achieved in the economic, cultural, and social development. He said that he was pleased to be Chinese Ambassador to Turkey and he would make every effort to take the bilateral relations to a new stage.

 

On the same day, the Ambassador visited Atatürk's Mausoleum and laid a wreath to pay his respect to Ataturk.
