On December 8th, the new Chinese Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Commonwealth of Dominica H.E. Deng Boqing paid a courtesy call upon Mr. Lennox Honychurch, a famous Dominican historian. H.E. Ambassador Deng briefed Mr. Honychurch on China's history and latest developments in such areas of culture, education and arts.

 

Mr. Honychurch said he is interested in the splendid Chinese civilization over a history of 5000 years. "The establishment of the diplomatic ties between Dominica and China was a great event in Dominican history. I will record the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries in my new book to be published", the historian said.

 

Mr. Honychurch is the most influential and respected historian, author, artist and journalist in Dominica whose publications include the Dominican History, the Caribbean People, Our Island Culture, Dominica: Isle of Adventure and so on.
