Du Yuxin Reelected Communist Party Chief of Harbin

Fifty-three-year-old Du Yuxin was re-elected secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s Harbin City Committee on Sunday.

He was re-elected to his post at the first plenary session of the northeast China city's twelfth CPC committee. Zhang Xiaolian and Wang Ying were elected vice secretaries.

Du, of Han nationality, was born in December 1953 in Linkou City of Heilongjiang Province, one of China's major industrial bases. He joined the CPC in 1976.

He was elected Communist Party chief in Harbin, capital city of Heilongjiang, in December 2003.

He is now an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
