Adjust font size:

China's State Post Bureau is going to issue a set of stamps marking the 15th anniversary of the establishment of dialogue between China and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The set, containing one stamp valued at 80 cents, will be issued along with first-day covers on Oct. 30.

According to official Chinese statistics, trade between China and ASEAN rose to US$130.4 billion in 2005, up 23.1 percent on a year-on-year basis.

By 2010, China and six ASEAN member nations -- Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand -- will impose zero tariffs on most normal products, while China and the other four ASEAN members -- Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam -- will do the same in 2015.

A summit will be held on Oct. 30 to 31 in Nanning, capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of China- ASEAN dialogue.

The third China- ASEAN Expo, as well as the third China- ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, will be held on the sidelines of the commemorative summit.
