Fifteen multilingual editions of the book "Keywords to Understand China: 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China" were unveiled at the Beijing Book Fair on Thursday.

The book, jointly compiled by the China International Publishing Group (CIPG), the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies and the China Academy of Translation, was published in 15 foreign language versions.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Lu Cairong, vice president of CIPG, said that the series of books "Keywords to Understand China" became another project to explain Chinese practice in Chinese discourse following the publication of the book "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" by CIPG.

Huang Youyi, vice president of the China Academy of Translation and executive vice president of the Translators Association of China, said the books effectively and clearly present translations of the key words of the 19th CPC National Congress to foreign audiences, enabling greater understanding of the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Focusing on the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the book defines a number of keywords and phrases, such as "Principal contradiction facing Chinese society in a new era" and "Modernizing the national governance system and capabilities."
