整体消除绝对贫困现象
打好精准脱贫攻坚战是中共十九大提出的三大攻坚战之一。中共十八届五中全会从实现全面建成小康社会奋斗目标出发，明确了到2020年国家现行标准下农村贫困人口实现脱贫，贫困县全部摘帽，解决区域性整体贫困。由此，到2020年国家现行标准下农村贫困人口实现脱贫，成为中国共产党对中国人民作出的庄严承诺。届时，中华民族在几千年发展史上，将首次整体消除绝对贫困现象。这对中华民族、对整个人类都具有重大意义。
Eliminating Absolute Poverty
Poverty elimination is one of the three critical battles the CPC vowed to win at its 19th National Congress. The goals were specified at the fifth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee in October 2015: to raise out of poverty all those living below the current poverty line, to lift all poor counties out of poverty, and eliminate overall regional poverty, all by the year 2020.
To raise all those living under the current poverty line out of poverty by 2020 - this is a solemn promise made by the CPC. At this point the Chinese nation will have eliminated absolute poverty for the first time in its history. This will be significant to China and to the whole of humanity.
