Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant 

Construction of the first indigenously designed 300 MWe pressurized water reactor started in Qinshan, Zhejiang on March 20, 1985. The reactor was successfully connected to the power grid on December 15, 1991. The completion of this project marked the beginning of China's nuclear power development and was celebrated as "a proud achievement". Since the unit was put into operation, more than 130 technical modifications have been made to turn the prototype reactor into a commercial reactor. The reactor has an impressive record of safe continuous operation for 469 days. Its 18.12-day overhaul time is the shortest in China. And it has improved its ranking in WANO composite index year by year and ranked first in the world twice among similar units.

1985年 3月 20日,中国自主设计、自主建造、自主运营的第一座 30万千瓦压水堆核电站在浙江秦山开工建设,1991年 12月 15日成功并网发电。秦山核电站的建成,结束了中国大陆无核电的历史,标志着“中国核电从这里起步”,被誉为“国之光荣”。该核电机组投入运行后,先后完成 130多项技术改造,成功将一个原型堆改进为商用堆,并创造了连续安全运行 469天的优异成绩和 

18.12天国内核电大修最短工期记录,世界核电运营者协会(WANO)综合指数排名逐年提高,曾两次位列同类机组世界第一。
