Beijing Int'l Dance Season to Start Next Tuesday

The second Beijing international dance season will start next Tuesday, according to information from dance season organizers released Thursday.

The season will comprise 50 performances from Chinese and foreign dance assemblies, including those from Russia, Canada, Lebanonand Turkey, and will be held in the Great Hall of the People and in different theaters in Beijing.

The programs include dance classics such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, One Thousand and One Nights, Flames of Passion, The Fire of Anatolia and Esmaralda.

In the meantime, a forum will also be held where participants from the United States, Australia, Denmark, Japan, Belgium, France,Austria and China will exchange views regarding ballet choreography and expertise in theater and troupe administration.

The dance season, under the auspices of the Chinese Ministry of Culture, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Beijing municipality, will close on Jan. 25.
