Love Turns into Hatred

Yue opera Yu Qingsao depicting the love between Yu Qingsao and Qingsheng who is delicated in health is to show on December 29.  

Adapted from the homonymy novel from Bai Xianyong, Yue opera Yu Qingsao depicts the story in Zhejiang province about the love between Yu Qingsao and Qingsheng who is delicated in health.   

Qingsheng lead a happy life under the care of Yu Qingsao thus they like either sister and brothers or a couple. Under the pressure of social consensus and common customs, Qingsheng supposed to cast off the love from Yu Qingsao, especially when he met new girls after stepping into the society and created new hope of future life. While the love from Qingsheng is considered as the only event that worth cherishing in Yu Qingsao's tough life. Living under the social pressure, Yu Qingsao can't stand losing Qingsheng any more, thus her love gradually is turned to the oafish tragedy. Finally, Yu Qingsao chooses to die with Qingsheng together.   

Setting the background of the southern china, Yu Qingsao perfectly fits the features of Yue opera and differs itself with an extinguished flavor of the south China. Emotive tangle is the common desperation that the people should face either in the modern world or the past, while Yu Qingsao unveils the process sensitively and that's why Yu Qingsao is rearranged time and time again in the modern China.
