The renovation of the statue of Buddha Losana, the tallest statue of Buddha in the Longmen Grotto in Luoyang in central China's Henan Province, was completed on Wednesday. All protective coverings were removed.

The renovation work for the Buddha Losana statue was the first in the past 30 years.

Workers mainly underwent some small repairs to the statue, including clearing away dust covering on its surface and filling cracks.
