It was the end of summer and beginning of autumn 2002. Tibet's rainy season was just coming to a close. The grass was withering and turning yellow, the Yarlung Zangbo River was becoming more limpid, and the peaks near and afar were wrapping themselves up again in crystal ice and snow. I, a photographer for China.org.cn, traveled through Ngari, visited Mount Qomolangma, trekked the sacred lakes and explored the historic sites of Tibet, together with eight net-pals from other parts of China and the United States. Traversing this vast land, we were able to enjoy to the full the boundless earth and high open skies as well as the tranquility of this serene natural environment. One after another, wonderful scenes astonished me with their beauty as I busied myself with the shutter button.
