French film legend Alain Delon is expected to cooperate with Hong Kong director Johnnie To for the first time in a new film at the end of this year.

Alain Delon told French newspaper RFI earlier this week that he could not turn down the invitation from Johnnie To. The new film has yet to be named but the two have already met several times in Paris to discuss the details of the project.

Alain Delon also revealed that he will join the cast in the latest screen adaptation of the famous novel The Bridges of Madison County. The veteran actor has starred in over 85 films and produced 27 movies himself.

Director Johnnie To has gained his international reputation from gangster films like Full-time Killer, Election and Exiled.
