Ziggy Marley will bring a bit of reggae to Shanghai this March as one of several international musicians scheduled to perform in the city this year.

Marley, the son of reggae legend Bob Marley, will perform in Shanghai for one night only on March 27.

On March 29, Kenny G, known as the world's biggest-selling instrumental musician, will return to Shanghai for his second concert in the city. The first was held in October 2002.

The next big show arrives on April 16 when Grammy Award-winning American hip-hop group The Roots make their mainland debut.

All three concerts will be held at the 1,600-seat Yunfeng Theater on Beijing Road W. in the center of the city.

China West Entertainment, the local promoter of the three concerts, says the limited number of tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

Information about tickets will be available at the company's Website (www.cwest.cn).

Tickets for Ziggy Marley's gig and The Roots' show are priced between 280 yuan (US$35) and 480 yuan. Prices for Kenny G's concert range from 480 yuan to 1,280 yuan.

South Korean superstar Rain and Japanese pop idol Ayumi Hamasaki will also play Shanghai in April.

Rain's April 14 concert will be held at Shanghai Stadium, while Hamasaki will sing at the Shanghai Grand Stage on April 22.

Tickets for Rain's concert are priced between 120 yuan and 1,880 yuan while those for Hamasaki's show run between 200 yuan and 2,000 yuan.
