Weekly Weather Forecast (October 30 to November 5)

Northwest China: October 30, southern areas of both Gansu and Shaanxi will be overcast with light rain or sleet. November 1, western and northern Xinjiang and eastern parts of the region will be cloudy to overcast with rain, snow or sleet expected in some areas. November 2 to 3, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy. November 4 to 5, eastern and southern Qinghai, southern parts of both Gansu and Shaanxi will be cloudy to overcast with rain or snow in some parts. Other areas will have sunny to cloudy skies.

 

North China: October 30 to 31, northeastern Inner Mongolia will see light rain or sleet with force 4 to 6 southerly or northerly winds in northernmost and eastern parts. Temperatures will drop. November 1 to 2, most of the region will be cloudy to overcast with rain or snow showers in eastern Inner Mongolia and northeastern Hebei Province. Eastern Mongolia will have force 4 to 5 southerly or northerly winds along with a drop in temperatures. November 3 to 5, most of the region will be dominated by sunny to cloudy skies and warmer temperatures.

 

Northeast China: October 30 to 31, northern and easternmost parts will have light to moderate snow with force 4 to 6 southerly or northerly winds and low temperatures. November 1, northwestern Heilongjiang will receive snow showers while most of the region will be sunny to cloudy. November 2 to 3, central and northernmost parts will have light rain or snowfalls along with force 4 to 5 southerly or northerly winds as well as cold temperatures. November 4 to 5, most areas will be sunny to cloudy with temperatures becoming warmer.

 

Central China: October 30, Henan, Hubei and western and northern Hunan will be overcast with light rain. Some parts will see moderate rainfall while the rest of the region will be cloudy. October 31 to November 1, northern parts will be sunny to cloudy while southern areas will be cloudy to overcast with force 4 northerly or northeasterly winds and lower temperatures. November 2 to 3, most parts will have cloudy to sunny weather with higher temperatures. November 4 to 5, the majority of areas will be mainly cloudy with showers possible in parts of Henan and Hubei provinces.

 

East China: October 30 to November 1, northern and the southern coastal areas will experience light rain or showers. Shandong Peninsula and the coastal areas of Zhejiang and Fujian will blow force 4 to 5 northerly or northeasterly winds. November 2 to 3, the majority of the region will be cloudy to sunny with warm temperatures. November 4 to 5, northern areas will be cloudy to overcast with showers in some parts while southern areas will see cloudy to sunny skies.

 

South China: October 30, most areas will be sunny to cloudy. October 31 to November 1, affected by cold air and a tropical storm from South China Sea most regions will be dominated by cloudy to overcast skies with light to moderate rain and force 5 to 7 winds expected in coastal areas and Hainan Island. November 2 to 5, most regions will be mainly cloudy with rainfall in coastal areas. The tropical storm may move to the northwest and close to Hainan bringing strong winds, rain storms and some areas will encounter cloudbursts. The coastal areas of Guangdong and Guangxi provinces and the Leizhou Peninsula will also experience gales and heavy rain.  

 

Southwest China: During the week eastern areas will have more overcast and rainy weather. October 30 to November 1, central and eastern Tibet, the Sichuan Basin and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau will receive light to moderate rain or snow. October 2 to 3, southern and eastern Tibet and the Western Sichuan Plateau will have light rain or snow. November 4 to 5, most of the region will encounter further rain or snow.
