Yining Port


Established in 1993, the Yining Port is second only to the Yining West Suburb Border Economic Cooperation Area in size. It is located in attractive surroundings just three kilometers from the central city and easy to reach. Its main business is tourism and shopping. An estimated 6,000 vehicles pass through this border each year, exporting 25,000 tons of commodities. The port now has three outdoor holding areas for goods and a designated parking area for foreign vehicles covering a total area of 48,000 square meters. The customs holding and supervision depot occupies 13,000 square meters. There are 100 vehicles, with passenger and cargo transport to and from Almaty, Shymkent and Chongza County of Kazakhstan.
