French movie star Jean Reno is coming to Beijing on February10 to attend his solo movie exhibition and meet his Chinese fans.
A selection of his most recent works such as L'Empire des Loups (2005), L'Enqute Corse(2004), Tais- toi!(2003) and Dcalage horaire(2002), and some old classics such as Le Grand Bleu( 1988), Le Jaguar(1996)and Leon(1993), will be screened during the two-day exhibition, organized by the China Film Archive(CFA).
"In these films, Chinese audience will see a stern Reno and a humorous Reno," said Bi Yuchen, who is in charge of the exhibition.
Reno is expected to meet his Chinese movie fans at the CFA Theater in the evening of February 10.
Born in Morocco to Spanish parents before moving to Paris at the age of 17, Reno is one of France's top stars and is famed for his tough-guy roles both at home and in the United States.
Leon brought him international acclaim in 1993 and it helped him break into Hollywood, where he co-starred in French Kiss(1995), Mission: Impossible(1996) and Ronin(1998).
French President Jacques Chirac made Reno, then 55, an officer of the National Order of Merit, the second most prestigious civilian award after the Legion d'Honneur, on December 15, 2003.
