Two of Zhang Yimou's Films Get Nominated
Adjust font size:

Nominations for this year's Hundred-Flower Film Awards have come out, and two of Zhang Yimou's films are nominated.

House of Flying Daggers and Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles are nominated as Best Films, while Zhang Yimou is also nominated as Best Director for the two movies.

Also nominated are A World Without Thief by Feng Xiaogang, Kongfu Hustle by Hong Kong's Steven Chow, and New Police Story by Jacky Chan.

Last year's Box office hit The Promise didn't get a single nomination.

One of the most prestigious awards in Chinese mainland's film industry, the Hundred Flowers Awards are determined by a popular vote. The awards ceremony will be held this October in east China's Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
